Colder Weather & Warmer Outfits

With the Netherlands quickly transitioning into autumn, I find myself reaching for the wintery part of my wardrobe.

To be very honest with you, I prefer winter fashion. Perhaps because I am a winter child (born late November), or simply because I don’t do well with the heat, I prefer the warm comfort of a good sweater.

Of course, there is something special about summer, and I always start yearning for warmer days after a couple of colder months. But the heat doesn’t really allow you to wear much, doesn’t it?

This autumn/winter season I will be going for a more classic palette. Currently, I am hunting for a good beige coat- I ordered one from Ted Baker and will share the results with you.

In previous years, I’ve always gone for black basics, but recently I feel like black can be a bit too gloomy when the weather outside is not so great either. When I walk around the streets, I see women covered in black, and even though I love the colour, sometimes it can feel a bit sad.

During this season, I will try to incorporate some fun items to make my looks feel a tad more special. Even though due to COVID we are very much limited when it comes to things we can do/places we can go to, I think dressing up for no particular reason is an extra important way to brighten up our days.

The outfit I am sharing today shows a co-ord I got last year from a website called In The Style. The items are part of Lorna Luxe’s (one of my favourite influencers) collection for the In The Style. And of course combined with my beloved Pochette Metis bag.

Cardigan & Skirt: Lorna Luxe for In The Style
