If you’ve been reading my blog, you already know that my style is more on the minimalist side. I enjoy a consistent colour palette (mostly black, white, grey, beige, brown, navy and red), good materials and classic cuts.
Ever since I was a child I was a firm believer that a woman who feels good about herself can make a simple white t-shirt and jeans combo look amazing. I also believed that a woman should be wearing her clothes, not the other way around. And to this day I fully stand behind those beliefs.
During the years I have been continuously working on feeling more confident (and isn’t this a journey we all share?), but I also learned some tricks on how to make simple outfits look good. So here are my tips:
- Invest in the highest quality items you can afford. I got these jeans from my beloved brand Sézane and their fit is just phenomenal. I know I talk about this brand in almost every post I share, but I am just fascinated with their quality and their ability to constantly reinvent classic pieces. Everything I have ever ordered from them, I just adore and wear non-stop.
- Look for cuts that suit your body type. Look for the pieces that make you feel comfortable- not overly exposed, but also not lost in a sea of fabric.
- Stick to a colour palette. In that way any addition to your wardrobe will be a perfect fit for what you already have.
- If you go for a basic combination, go wild with the accessories. In this case I added a colourful scarf to my ponytail to make sure there is a bit of an accent.
What are your tips to pull of minimalist outfits?
